1974 Corvette Stingray

I started with a bad two-tone brown paint on a car that was supposed to be silver.  Unfortunately, the restoration was forced before I anticipated by a log rolling off of a truck on campus as I was driving toward my apartment.  The bell-housing was crushed and exhaust destroyed as I went over the log.  Most of the grill and fiberglass on the front was also damaged.

I used a chemical stripper and removed all the paint and primer down to the glass surface.

Here it is going together.  I picked up parts from a guy on Cleveland Avenue.  Some of the parts I picked up new from suppliers.

Shooting Dupont Imron.  I am wearing only a carbon filter mask.  Later it was found that Imron caused significant lung damage and  required painters to wear supplied air respirators.
